Theme installed but I get an error

  • I installed a new theme by unzipping the theme into a folder on my system and then uploading to the directory where the two default themes are located. All the files uploaded just fine. When I go to use the theme there is a message: The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template. Which files are these that are missing?

  • sounds to me like the style.css and index.php which are basically the blood and guts of the theme.

    that extracted folder does not have correct content

    Take a screenshot of it (use ftp to list files in it) and upload to imageshack or similar site

    also screenshot the theme directory so we can look at that
