• Theme integration (phpBB within WordPress) breaks phpBB – giving the white screen of death on attempting to access any phpBB pages.

Disabling theme integration allows you access to phpBB again, but obviously, without the WordPress integration.

I rolled back to WordPress 3.8.3 from my previous backup to restore existing functionality.

I’m looking into this, and I’m keeping track of my progress on my blog post regarding this:

    https://www.my105e.com/740-wordpress-3-9-breaks-wp-united-theme-integration/

    Hey.
I have been following the instructions on this thread. Changed the code you mentioned in the core-patcher.php file and then turned on theme integration in wp-united.

Not sure what happened, but the whole site is down now, not just the forum. Getting a 500 Internal Server error.

I’m hoping someone has any ideas on how to get the site back. It would be a huge amount of work to rebuild it.

    Update :

I got rid of the 500 error by disabling plugins. Going to reinstall wp-united and see if it works.

emo_mooney, the 500 error that caused by incompability wpu 0.9.2.5 and wp 3.9 has been resolved in the new version of wpu. If you still have any trouble, please, start a new thread.

I’m having problems with this also. I have applied both the MOD and the posted fix here and after clearing the cache when I access my forum I get this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp() in /home/content/p3nexnas05_data01/33/2115133/html/wp-content/plugins/wp-united/wordpress-runner.php on line 95

    Any help is appreciated.

Also as a note the ACP is still accessible just not the board index.

    Hello jason.barber,
As I can see, you’ve resolved your problem?

Yes I have, I realized the problem was with the GoDaddy hosting platform, changing the host solved the issue.

I am having another problem however with user integration. I’d like users to first register on the phpbb forum and have that account automatically created in wordpress. I have checked off create wordpress accounts automatically however I have made three accounts now on the phpbb board and not one shows up in word press.

    Any ideas?

You can checked ON create wordpress accounts automatically and check off settings-general-anyone can register. So your users will be able to register only via phpbb and their account will be automatically created in WordPress.
