• Hello,

First I must say the theme looks amazing!

But I am unable to display it? It is installed and I can access the themes options. But not matter what I do, it does not seem to work. My homepage is https://leatherworks.dk/ll/ .

I sincerly hope that someone can help me!

  • Hey First Nick,

I currently see the theme you are referring to, try a different browser to view your website.

I see the site. Let us know which browser you were using or if you fixed the issue.

Thank you for your quick responses!

I can see that I did not make myself clear the first time. The picture showing the theme at https://kadencethemes.com/product/virtue-free-theme/ is displaying an awesome look with sliders and pictures.

That look is what I am going for with my website, but somehow I am unable to achieve it. I downloaded the theme, uploaded it to the homepage and installed it in WordPress. Afterwards, I have tried changing around the theme options, activating the slider and uploading photos, but still it looks like this: https://leatherworks.dk/ll/. Am I doing something wrong? I presume I am, but I do not know what :).

@firstnick I believe your issues lies in your homepage being set to be your post page (which is a list of blog posts).

To solve this, first create a new page to be used for the static page(w/ slider & pictures) and then create a second page to display you blog posts, call it blog if you like.

Then go to your Admin panel > Settings > Reading.

At the top where is says ‘Front page displays’,
Select “A static page (select below)”

And then set the ‘Front page” and “Post Page” (You also don’t have to have a post page, just leave it at select)

Scroll down and save changes, then refresh you website.

    Hi kirkclarke,

Thank you for your response – that helped!

Unfortunately, if I save any changes I made in “Theme options”, the slider disappears?
