Theme layout changed after upgrade

I’ve a website https://www.comitatopendolariorte.it/ using the Twenty Twelve theme.
Until January the layout of the site was the following:

But, after the last theme update, the layout was changed, as you can see by visiting the current website.
Why? Can you help me to solve this issue? Including suggestions about similar themes I can use.
