First of all, let me apologize for the delay in bringing TML up to date with WP. For any inconvenience I may have caused any of you, I sincerely apologize. The main reason for the delay is because 7.0 will be coming with a complete rewrite, on which I have been working for quite some time. So, I didn’t want to waste time maintaining a defunct code base. However, 7.0 is taking considerably longer than I though.

With that said, I present Theme My Login 6.4 Beta 1.

This release brings TML back up to date with WP. It also adds a few new requested features and bug fixes.

I urge you all to install and test as much as you can. Please either report back to this thread or Tweet me @jfarthing84.

Once again, here is the download link for Theme My Login 6.4 Beta 1.

  • Dear Jeff Farthing.

I always appreciate your hard work.

No one will not gain without this effort.

    Thank you beta version provided.

I hope to be with you today to be happy.

    Thanks Jeff much appreciated!!!

I can understand your reasoning also!

Thanks for posting this. I’ve activated it on my dev site and it is stable and fixes the issues with the password reset form well.

FYI, I’ll be sharing the link to this ZIP with some Paid Memberships Pro customers who were having issues.

I am still seeing issues when you try to change your password from the themed edit profile (you-profile) page.

    I see:

    New Password
    [ ] Generate Password

When I enter a password there and save, it doesn’t seem to really change the password for me.

Also, if I click on Generate Password, a second input box shows up with the random password, but the original box is not set. There is a hide/cancel button, but the formatting is odd (at least on my theme)

I don’t want to step on your toes while working on this, but let me know if you’d like me to look into it further and try to come up with a solution.

I installed the beta plugin on a staging site to test. It fixes the password change problem, but the display css is a bit strange on my theme.

Here’s how it looks in version 6.3.12 on the live page.

And this is how the beta version displays the same page.

    This is the live site.

    I hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Mike

I just upgraded also and noticed that the new version also messes up the profile pages.

A big issue we are having though is that with the new version activated it makes the content in bbPress disappear. Really strange. So yeah, we can’t have this version active yet because of that.

It fixes the password recovery issue though…

@devin Walker, you’ll need to tweak the width of your TH elements or reset them to display: table-cell.

    Hi Jeff,

Great plugin thanks. I am having an issue with the Beta. If I select that I want a password to be emailed rather than people choosing their own , the password that is emailed does not work when they try to login with it , and then they have to change the password. Not sure why this is , I have had to allow users to add their own password ( which I would like to avoid ). Hope you can help,

    Thanks
    Eifee.

    Hi,

One more. When someone registers , using “create own password” once completed they are directed to another login page , when they login there , which ever page I direct them to after login , they will have to login again as it does not seem to actually log them in the first time ,

Hope you can help , site address belwo

    TML no longer emails passwords…

    Hi Jeff,

It’s great that Password reset “expired key” issue is resolved well, appreciated for your hard work.

But somehow when people receive the registration confirmation email which contains a link to set the initial password, the expired issue still appears, do you have any idea? (The normal forgot password email link is working though)

P.S. I’m using s2member pro on the site.

has the expired key issue been committed into this beta already ?

I will be releasing 6.4 Beta 2 in a short while.

Meanwhile, you could try with all the commits made today here: https://github.com/jfarthing84/theme-my-login/archive/6.4.zip.

Don’t forget to rename the extracted directory to theme-my-login.

    Hi,

Still having the same problems as before unfortunately.

1.If I choose NOT to allow password creation , the password that is emailed does not work when entered.

    2. If I select “Enable Custom Passwords” , when they set up the password and hit register , they have to put in their login details again , then once the ht login they are redirected “to my home page” , which I have selected in redirect , they then seem to be looged out. However if they follow the link that comes in the email which directs them to https://www.aberdeenpropertyshop.com/login-or-register/ , if they log in there then all is good and the redirection works.

Can you help please , is there a way to keep all logins to
https://www.aberdeenpropertyshop.com/login-or-register/ and remove the page it goes to after they hit register , after they select their password.

I know it may be a bit confusing , but if you could goto Aberdeenpropertyshop.com and create an account you will see what I mean.

Really like this plugin and really want it to work for me and hope my input helps.

    Thanks
    Eiffee
