    Dear WP 2017 devs,

I tried upgrading my backend PHP to 8.0 but my WP site, which is built with your theme, didn’t work right after the update. Particularly, I found out that while the main page loaded OK, the sub pages were just blank white when I tried to access them. Could you please make sure the theme is compatible with PHP 8. I’ve seen a couple of other messages re this topic already, and I think it would be timely to make sure your otherwise excellent theme is compatible with PHP 8. Thank you!

    Hey @wpbuilder9,

This may be a plugin conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and if the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

If you can install plugins, install and activate “Health Check”: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/
It will add some additional features under the menu item under Tools > Site Health.
On its troubleshooting tab, you can Enable Troubleshooting Mode. This will disable all plugins, switch to a standard WordPress theme (if available), allow you to turn your plugins on and off and switch between themes, <strong>without affecting normal visitors to your site</strong>. This allows you to test for various compatibility issues.

There’s a more detailed description about how to use the Health Check plugin and its Troubleshooting Mode at https://make.www.ads-software.com/support/handbook/appendix/troubleshooting-using-the-health-check/

Many thanks to you jordesign — I was able to resolve my problems by following your advice. Turns out I had installed a plugin called Options for 2017 and this was causing the problem with the sub pages. Also, I had legacy widgets and I had to delete these first to get the widgets working again. I feel a bit bad that I criticized the theme (which is awesome) as it turns out this was not the culprit after all. But I hope my experience and your kind help might also help others who find themselves looking for solutions to the same problem from these forums. Thank you!
