theme not showing in “Available Themes”

  • I just uploaded a new theme, which is showing in wp_content/themes, but when I go to the dashboard, it’s not there. Any ideas other than uploading it again?

  • If you have unzip a theme it may possible that you will have the same folder in unzipped drive. I have faced similar issue. I used to download a theme folder and when I do unzip them I was having theme folder and another folder with same name in the theme folder and all the files for them was reside in inner most folder. This was causing wordpress to read theme files.

    Please check if is this the case for you.
