theme not showing up

I’ve installed the MU setting a few times now and it worked but this time I have an error.

When I create a new site and visit it, there is no theme. The theme is still showing up for the main install though.

When I first installed MU, the setting was for subdomains and I wanted sub-directories and I changed it in the wp-config and it worked. Could it be that the setting for the MU themes is still pointing to a subdomain and not the subdirectory?
