theme not supporting metaslider

    I am actually coming here from WordPress.com. I have a business plan and installed this plug in into the Maisha theme. Creating the slides showed no problems but implementing the code onto the front page has inserted the slide into a text box. Is there some custom CSS i can put in place in order for the slide to show correctly? As I can not edit the themes code on wordpress.com. I would like it to display like the following site https://www.hiregrowth.org which is using the same theme as mine.

    I see it now. This looks more like a theme specific issue. Does your theme have documentation or a support channel? Does the theme have a settings page or template specific to adding a slideshow?

    I’m not sure there’s any way I can help without knowledge of the theme you are using. Maybe they have a support page?

    Hi there,
    thank you for your reply. The theme developer got in touch and said that sliders were not supported. Do you possibly know which premium themes on wordpress.com are supported by metaslider?

    Hi,

    I’m not sure which are supported out of the box, but even with your current theme you should be able to make it work if you are comfortable setting up a child theme and editing the theme files.

    ok thats fine. sorry im not sure how to create a child theme but can look it up. Can this be done on wordpress.com? I only set up and account here today to send in my question so dont actually have the wordpress software.

    Oh, it might not be possible on WordPress.com actually. I’m not familiar with how it works with a business plan. You probably need to find a theme that supports a slideshow.

    ive had a look and it appears i can set up a child theme, so i’ll just do that. thanks for your help! ??
