Theme not working

    Hi
    My wp themes have suddenly stopped working. I cannot see any preview and the theme is not being display on the website. I have spoken to my server and they seem to think it is a wp problem as the files are all in the right place. Can anyone help?

    Try decativating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

    The theme is not working even with all the plugins deactivated. I have re-activated one by one and still no change. I can install a new theme but that will not work either and I cannot see the previews of the themes.

    You appear to have some sort of redirect in place, possibly via a .htaccess file, that is re-directing all traffic to https://weddingsdresses.tv/wp-content/[anything] back to https://weddingsdresses.tv , which is why neither your theme or any attached images are loading.

    Thank you for that.
    Can you tell me how to fix it?
    I know how to upload via filezilla and can edit a file but I’m no computer expert so very plain english would help!

    Not a clue really. If I had to guess, I’d say that you had a .htaccess file in either the /wp-content/ directory or the root directory (the next one up) causing the problem. If you find either via FTP, temporarily rename them to htaccess (remove the preceding dot), clear your browser’s cache, and check your blog again.

    I found the file and renamed it as you said and everything sems fine now
