    Hi,

i’m trying to change my site from the bridge theme to karuna but some of the menu options are missing in the preview – social menu, colour options.

do i need to deactivate plugins? or is it something simple i’m missing?

    Thanks

  • Hi @garethomas2007, it sounds like you may be referring to features that are only available on WordPress.com. We’ll double check, though, to confirm.

Oh and to clarify, the color customizer is unique to WordPress.com. I’m not positive yet though why the menu isn’t working. We’ll check that out.

The WordPress.com color customizer generates custom CSS for you, so if you’d like, you can create a site on WordPress.com, customize the colors, then view source for the page. Search for the word custom and you’ll find some CSS you can copy into your own dashboard’s CSS area.

    Hi there!

So it looks like the Social Menu comes from Jetpack, which is included in WordPress.com. To get it on your site hosted elsewhere, you’ll want to install Jetpack (if you haven’t yet):

    https://jetpack.com/support/social-menu/.

    I hope that helps ??

@garethomas2007 I just thought I’d add: you would need Jetpack installed, activated, and connected. Then the social menu will show up.

And the other trick I mentioned is a good option for generating CSS colors for this theme.

    Hoping it helps!
