“Theme Options” not available in Twenty Seventeen on RC with HTTPS only

    With HTTPS only activated on the server (WPEngine) the “Theme Options” are not available under Customize in Twenty Seventeen running RC.

    When I deactivate HTTPS only and allow the server to serve both HTTPS and HTTP it reapears again.

    Hi,

    Does this only happen with Twenty Seventeen, or does it happen with any theme?

    I’m not familiar with the option you are using, but I’m presuming they just redirect you to HTTPS versions of any site, so another thing to check is Settings > General and see if the URLs here are shown as http or https.

    HI,

    Following up here, as we had some poking around to identify what you were referring to.

    The Theme Options section in the customizer is conditionally loaded (it does load under HTTPS as expected), to make it show up you need to enable static front pages, and pick a front page to show up first.

    I’m talking about the Theme Options settings bar under Customize. The site is functioning normaly.
