Theme overides the comment privacy opt- in checkbox

  • Hello,
    I am trying to put a privacy opt-in checkbox in my “Leave a Reply” section of my blog, I do have the 4.9.8 WordPress that has this feature built into the settings. I have enabled the feature but it still does not appear. I would like to know how to have this feature enabled.

    Hi,

    If you logged in, the checkbox is not displayed.
    This is by design of WordPress.

    Dear Takao,

    Thank you for your quick response. However, if I log myself out of the website and see it as a visitor, the checkbox is still not there in the comment section of the blog. I did click on the feature in the updated version of WordPress to have this appear and to notify my readers that my website might collect data. (Security feature).
