[Theme: Parallax one from Themeisle] Highlighted homepage elements – bug?

I downloaded the theme onto 2 sites, which have the same custom CSS and almost same plugins

but one site’s homepage elements behave weirdly … ii.e. highlighted when they shouldn’t be
