[Theme: Parament] Adding RSS icon/link to header image or menu

I’m having a hard time figuring out how to add an RSS link to the Parament theme – either would like it in the lower right of the header image as per usual or in the far-right of the horizontal nav menu.

Because the theme uses functions to handle these two elements, the layout has been kind of funky with whatever I’ve tried.

The only option Parament appears to offer by default is a “Meta” sidebar widget that includes RSS, but I’d like to keep that real estate less cluttered. Any ideas?
