Theme Problem

I want to remove the site links on the footer of every page on my site ie. https://www.hahamarketing.com They aren’t covered in the widgets section. I’m using a Kumle theme by wpcharms.com. I hope it’s wp supported.

The only option I seem to have is by editing the theme myself. But I don’t know if the changes will persist through a theme update ?

Also, why doesn’t WP use a MVC (Model, View, Controller) development model ?
