    Hi,

I have installed wp and everything is running fine … though I have just tried to install a few themes and I can’t seem to get any of them working.

I have tried uzipping them and uploading them to the wp-content/themes folder and I have tried copying the default them folder and then overwriting the files that came with the theme. Either way when I got to the presentation panel all I see are the two default themes …

I have searched codex and wiki for about 3hours now but I am struggling to find useful information …

Any help would be appreciated … thanks.

  • As an example, if you have a Theme called Batavia, then all the files for that theme will go in wp-content/themes/batavia. The standard WordPress 1.5.1.2 zip file contains two themes called default and classic. The files for the theme called default go in the wp-content/themes/default directory and the classic files go in wp-content/thems/classic. Then use the Administrative Panel under Presentation, Themes and activate either default, classic, or your theme. If you don’t see your theme then you didn’t upload the theme files correctly.
