Hi it seems your plugin crashes any theme using Cherry frameworks. Ive read some other support posts on similar things sent to you, and as far as i can tell you always say to them to ask the third party because its too much work for you to make it work with all themes. HOWEVER i would like to point out 2 things. Firstly Cherry will not change to accommodate for Sportspress, cherry is a framework and Sportspress is widgets and features. It is far more appropriate for you to change to work with cherry. The second is i urge you to reconsider your way of thinking, you do not need to make sportspress compatible with every theme, BUT please make it compatible with CHERRY as most popular themes are made with cherry now and you will be missing out on alot of customers simply by refusing to accommodate for this very popular and highly regarded plugin. For your profits and our ease of use please fix to work with Cherry Frameworks.. Telling people to use a default theme on a website is like asking them to have no personality, please reconsider fixing this..

    Hi!

Thanks for your input, in the WP world this is pretty much how it works overall, but in our case it’s a bit harder. We use the latest coding standards BUT the theme HAS to do some work to accommodate our plugin, just like any WooCommerce theme has to do some work to accommodate them, there is no other way around. We can’t overwrite theme stuff unfortunately, so the themes HAVE to declare SportsPress support. This isn’t like a comments plugin, form plugin or similar, we change a lot in how the theme works (with a lot of visual things) and if the theme doesn’t have SportsPress support it may work, but a lot will be missing.

There’s no fix for this, this is just how it is, we have so many features (and many things that overlap with theme’s functionality) that there is no way around it.

    Kind Regards,

I have to disagree as its Cherry that its reacting with not just theme coding, so the one fix will make it work with ALL cherry themes.. I found a fix so it seems your replying before actually checking the problem saying theres “no way round it” . Due to the poor responses ive seen on here ive chosen not to use it. You should at least try and help before you pass it off to third parties as you are also a third party to them… I must admit Email support was pretty good, but all this “HAVE to” (they dont have to do anything your product is compatible for your own benefits of sales..) and not even trying to help people on these support threads is very off putting. Good luck with your plugin.
