  • Hello Covergraphix,

I’m having the same issue. I’m fairly new at this wordpress thing, would you mind provided the step by step breakdown of what you did exactly? Thanks, and it’s great to know I’m not the only one experiencing this.

I was hoping that the creator of this theme would see this message and issue a fix.

Since they did not, here is what I did:

    I went to this site:
    https://themes.trac.www.ads-software.com/ticket/4075

    I downloaded the 1.0.13 version.

I unzipped it on my home computer.

I use my FTP program (Flezilla is free if you need ftp software)
    to go into:

Domain/install directory (if you have one)/wp-content/themes/showcase/

and then I uploaded the 1.0.13 version ontop of all the files in that folder. I just let it replace every file, rather then trying to figure out which one has the problem.

    Hope that helps tjuras.

I wish MidPhase would publish a changelog for each minor update, or even just change the date stamp of each individual file they update within the zip.

I’m running a stable but heavily altered v1.0.12 (I know, I know, ‘child themes’…) and probably won’t change it until someone screams ‘security issue’.

Yes, I forgot that I had modified my theme as well (fonts and what have you) and had to redo it all over again.

Thing is, as far as I can tell, there is no reason for this update other than they changed the link back to their site in the footer.

No idea why it made it crash, but I tried it once again, just to see, and sure enough 1.0.14 breaks it, and 1.0.13 fixes it again.

Oh how frustrating, I’ve spent weeks tweaking this and couldn’t remember what to redo if I needed to!

I used to have an html editor (can’t remember the name) that would compare two files and highlight any differences; looks like that is going to be the way forward here so we can decide if an upgrade is worth it and/or to make the changes manually ourselves.

Here’s a friendly tip: Download 1.0.13 and unzip. FTP the folder JS to your wp-content/theme/showcase replacing the existing JS folder. All should work ?? And you should not lose your customizations.
