  • Nice. I see the trouble you documented with IE6 and PNGs and the box model. (Use conditional comments for IE6; makes life easier.)

    I do see a small nit in IE6 still. Here’s a screendump. (There goes the rest of your hair, sanity and fingernails!) Oy!

    I have tested it in two versions of IE6, and both were OK. But since IE6 has a lot of different versions some of them are still broken. I will try to find some old build from WinXP SP1 or something like that.

    I have found what was causing the problem in IE: table with cellpadding and cellspacing not set to 0. and extra text rendered with div where the logo is located.

    Also, I have found the problem with PNGFix.

    I will release updated version with all IE6 bugs fixed in the next day or two.

    Update to Orion 1.1.1 is now available, so you can check it out and upgrade. Full changelog is available at the theme blog website:

    Most important are fixes for IE6 and brand new PRINT feature for post or page contents.

    I have just upgraded my Starscape blog to new beta version of the theme: Hydra 1.2.0.

    You can see some new interesting features:
    1. Post tags & Print
    2. Post comment author avatars
    3. New links in additional top menu
    4. Improved typography

    Also, theme now has a bunch of new styles: 4 old styles and 1 new (yellow), and all 5 are now available without shadow.

    Final version will be available for download on monday (9.june 2008), and will also feature full user guide along with the theme, much more changes in control panel, and a lot more options for customization, new header backgrounds, new header logo.

    Also, next version will have two separate rendering engines. Alongside this used by the theme now, I am working on a new layout with much more easier customization, and much modern design. So, the theme will be even more customizable.
