Theme suggestions needed for art portfolio site

  • I’m looking for some theme suggestions. It’s to be used for my art portfolio site.

    This is the current site: https://www.megahurt.net

    I’ve looked through a ton of themes but haven’t really seen anything that jumps out at me so far.

    Anyone?

  • Hmmmm. Terry Ng (kineda) has a nifty photoblog theme that might work with a bit of discreet tweaking. Lemme see, where’s that link?

    Seems a bit more involved that what I have in mind. I came across this site (https://www.bellvanceart.com) which is pretty cool, but still a bit more involved.

    I basically want what my current site has:
    A large main header image (a random, rotating image would be nice)
    Simple, large image with description and “BUY NOW” capability.

    I’m actually thinking that it could be just about the same as what I have going on gethurt.com, but I would like the header image to be a good bit taller. If that’s possible. Hmmmmm.

    You should be able to tweak your megahurt theme to accomplish that I’d think. I think it would look great for your art.

    Do you mean, I can tweak the gethurt.com theme?

    Megahurt.net isn’t a wordpress site at all, it was built by someone using php, etc. I’d like to simplify, which is why I think a switch to wordpress might be cool
