theme… supposed to look like a tabloid newspaper

  • …hoping you might like to have a little look at my theme and see what you think. It’s supposed to look like the front page of a tabloid newspaper, like they have in Britain.

    it’s got the red banner across the top,
    an updating date,
    and the lead headline also gets a bigger font than all the others (in firefox and IE7+)

    it’s got a nice liquid design as well, so it stretches with the browser window.

    Great job and it looks real nice. Love the color it fits right in with the look. Is it possible to add more padding to the center content? That’s all and again, nice job.

    this site does everything it was intended to do. look, content and marketing… you just might make a few pennies (or pounds?).

    a traditional designer would be after you for the extremely tight margins, but with your stated intentions of mimicking a tabloid, it’s hard to argue. Your content and paid links are perfectly married, just like the experts advise.

    are you planning other drums for other locales? or is this a one-off?

    took on board your comment about the padding, and added a bit more space. it probably was a bit too tight. thanks for that
