Theme Switch with index.php in root folder

I am currently trying out the theme switch plugin. It’s working great, but I was wondering if it was possible when you click a new theme, the site url remains the same, rather than changing to the blog url. For example, I installed WordPress in /wp, but I have the index.php in my main public_html folder. When I click on a different theme other than the one I already have selected for my site, the url will change to https://asianglow.net/wp instead of https://asianglow.net. I know this is such a silly and minor thing, but it would be great if one of you guys knew how to just keep it as https://asianglow.net the entire time?

Right now, Gentle Theme is my default theme, but you can select a different one on the bottom right. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! ?? Thanks!
