Theme Switching

    I can switch themes using a url by including the theme name in the url like this:
    https://www.mydomain.com/wpblog/index.php?wptheme=MyTheme

    but the above only works for changing the theme and taking you to the blog index. it does not work for any other urls or pages in the blog.

    is there away to switch themes in a url to pages other than the index page?

    Try a search for theme switcher plugin. I’m not sure which ones if any work on which versions any more; you can find links to some from Plugins.

    thanks – i have tried the plugins but none allow you to switch from a url – this more a syntax issue

    The theme switchers (assuming they work with your version of wp) should be showing the theme switched to on all pages. They always have when I’ve used them in the past (though to be fair, I’ve not used any of them with anything past wp 1.5+ – I got over that sort of thing….)

    A theme switcher works with a dropdown or by creating a list of installed themes. I’m trying to switch themes by using a url….it works for the index.php..but I can’t get it to work for a specific page.
