• So I have been driving myself crazy trying to figure out why the information, and code do not appear on the page editor via the WP admin panel. A friend has asked me to make a few updates to his website ( basic updates just updating employees information). I am not super familiar with WP as I usually create websites with Dreamweaver.

When I open the page I’d like to edit, the visual and text editor box is blank. (not white) The word count says “0”. And even when I type test text in the box it does not appear in the live version of the website. The live version as pictures, links and text (https://gzlawoffice.com/attorneys) . But for some reason none of that appears on the page editor box. Also when I open one the the pages such as (https://gzlawoffice.com/attorneys/sean-woods) it will let me edit the text but will not let me see or edit any of the information in the left column ( Contact information, Education) (See link above)

    Please Advise.

  • I would check what template the page is using. On the right hand side when you are editing the page, can you see which page template is selected?

Then check that file in the file editor in Themes > appearance.

Or if you can look through the theme folder, you might find a file called something like page-attorneys.php.

Or it could be something to do with a page builder plugin that is being used.

I have been trying to figure this out for over a week now, but have been unable to find an area where I can edit the information shown in these screen shots. I found that the pages are using a custom template, but I still don’t know how to edit the information on the pages.

Issue area #1: on https://gzlawoffice.com/attorneys (screenshot: https://postimg.org/image/rwpbwmsqn/ *area highlighted in green*) On the menu it lists the names of teh attorneys and their pictures, I know how to change that but I dont see anywhere that I can edit the email address.

Issue area #2: Similar to issue 1 On https://gzlawoffice.com/staff (screenshot https://postimg.org/image/jbeh2qhzz/ *area highlighted in green*) It shows the staff members names, email, and position. But on the staff editor page the area is blank, and in the menu edit section I do not see anywhere that shows the person’s email, or position.

Issue #3: On the page https://gzlawoffice.com/attorneys/mark-goldman (Screenshot https://postimg.org/image/x8vckcwvr/ ) I highlighted the area in green which does not appear on the page editor and I dont see where I can edit this information.
