[Theme: Tempura] Infinite Scroll

Hello, I would love for my home page as well as the category pages that have tons of posts including archives to infinite scroll. I know that Tempura says that infinite scroll in JetPack is not supported.

What would I have to do to add this support in? I know in the Tempura settings for presentation page it asks how many columns and how many posts to show on the front so I imagine I would not only need to add code in various places to get this to work but also bypass this setting as well. In my searches I have come across some older solutions but the code doesn’t match up any more and the examples are not up to date with the code I am looking at.

I did also read that the footer would need to be set to fixed since you would never really reach the end if you had tons and tons of posts. I do dig what The Chive has in that they have a little icon that lets you pull up the footer when you want to see it, otherwise it is hidden.

I am by no means a wordpress guru so if the changes involved for this are too advanced, it may be beyond my abilities. If you do have feedback and code snippets, please feel free to toss them my way with a spoon feeding approach ??
