You can add a menu in Appearance > Menus.

See the Codex to learn how to create multi-level menus.

    Thanks for that.

I have been in and set this up [works with other themes]. [have two menus defined and both react the same way] The top level menu item has a triangle on the end but doesn’t drop anything down.

I have disabled plugins so don’t know where too look next.

Would you mind providing a link to the site, so that I can take a look?

I just sent it through via your sites contact function.

For some reason you’re using Bootstrap 2.0.3.

Try upgrading to the latest version and see whether it works then.

    Thanks, I’ll try that.

I just don’t know where to get the most recent version. WP theme repository only offers 2.0.0 and my system indicated it is running that version, with no options for anything newer.

    Is there another source?

Yeah, the names are confusing ??

So you’re running The Bootstrap (Theme) v2.0.0 but for some reason it does not use the latest version of Bootstrap (Twitters Framework). You can get it here.

I have it down and have loaded it over the existing directories. Do I need to rename anything or just overwrite with the core bootstrap code?

    e.g. bootstrap.js to the-bootstrap.js

I tried both and no joy in the menu drop down.

No, just overwrite the existing files.
If that still does not work for you, you should open an issue with the Bootstrap project.

I overwrite the existing files to Bootstrap v2.2.1 and add a two level menu in Appearance > Menus.
    Still does not work

    Any sugestions

    Hi,

I’m also getting this issue. 2 level navs (in top menu) don’t work.

I have recently updated WP to 3.5, but am not sure if that is the issue, as I don’t think it worked before either.

The second-level UL has class “sub-menu”, but that’s all the markup that appears to be different from a single-level menu.

Not a massive problem as I don’t need drop-downs for this site, but I’ll probably be using this theme a lot in future, so would like to have the option ??

Meanwhile, I hope the work for the next version is coming along well… The bootswatch options in the latest build are excellent – will be great once they’re completed.

PS. Have also downloaded the latest Bootstrap zip (v2.2.2) to double-check.

    Same problem

    Hi,
Have sent you a link through the contact form on https://en.wp.obenland.it/contact/

(Site is very much under development)

I have the same problem after update to WP 3.5. 2-nd level menu doesn’t work. Only 1-st level.
I had to return to WP3.4.2. No problem with menu.
