• I know what it is, but for some reason you cannot insert an image into a post or page. You can upload fine, but when you click on the “insert into post” button – nothing happens.

    At first I thought it was WordPress itself, maybe a bad install.
    But I’ve re-installed and even done a fresh install, uploaded the theme – still the same.
    It is a great pity because the layout and overall look of the theme is good.

  • How strange. It works for me. This is my page:
    https://www.titanica-art.com

    I have resized the fonts all over. Other than that, it’s pretty much like the original. I love the left hand side menu.

    Hi thanks for replying. Nice site.
    I have no idea why it is working for you and not for me. It is very weird.

    I was just looking again today and found the problem:

    When I was uploading an image I didn’t spot an error message in the image upload window, so I opened the uploader in a new tab – uploaded/inserted a new image and the error was:
    Warning: preg_replace() [function.preg-replace]: Unknown modifier 't' in ... /wp-content/themes/the-frances-wright/library/layout.php on line 83

    (In the layout.php page it’s the “Change image tag to enable responsive web design” part.

    Unfortunately I don’t know enough php to be able to fix myself
    (as far as I can tell from searching it’s a rogue forward slash that shouldn’t be there…. I think)
    – so I’ve removed the entire image_tag bit from layout.php and from the theme_init.php page >>
    Look for: “Add filter to change the image tag for responsive web design”
    and remove that & the code beneath.

    Saved the files after removal and I can now upload and insert images again.
    The problem has gone away. No error.

    I know this is not the ideal solution but since the theme author has disappeared and I don’t know how to fix properly, it will have to do.

    I’m glad you got it figured out! It’s so frustrating when things don’t work.

    I’m lousy with PHP myself. I have not had any errors yet, the only problem I have is that I can’t figure out how to resize the “Comment form” font. I want it smaller, like the other text. I’ve searched through the theme.css file again and again, but I just can’t sort it out. Hopefully someone can help. ??

    I have the same problem…
    Anyone can help us?

    I can’t find the error…

    See my post about, it’s a rough work around for now.

    I’m having this same image-not-loading issue. I try to add an image to my post, and it doesn’t upload with the text portion of the post. When I open the upload window in a new tab, I get the same error Airbornedivision had above:

    Warning: preg_replace() [function.preg-replace]: Unknown modifier ‘t’ in … /wp-content/themes/the-frances-wright/library/layout.php on line 83

    I tried the fix that Airbornedivision posted above, but deleting this code gives me the following error

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘}’ in /home/content/a/n/n/annamh/html/testwordpress/wp-content/themes/the-frances-wright/library/layout.php on line 69

    Anyone have any ideas? I love the theme, but if I can’t upload images, then it’s useless.

    Thanks!

    Scratch that. I figured it out.

    I’m using AnnaHartman.com/testwordpress as a test blog. The image uploads don’t seem to work there in the Frances Wright template, but in my actual blog InTheNext30Days.net the images upload and publish without trouble, even in the Frances Wright template.

    Woo Hoo!
