Theme Trouble, Please Help Me!!!!

  • I am using whatever version is available from the website right now. I just downloaded it.

    I get this message when I try to upload a new theme in wordpress.

    Unable to create directory /home/tizloco/public_html/holdem/wp-content/uploads/2009/08. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

    Sorry if this is a super noobie question, but I really want to get this theme going, and I desperately need help doing it!

  • You don’t upload a theme in the /uploads/2009/08 folder but in the /wp-content/themes folder!

    Thanks! i got that working, but there were google ads on my site instantly, I didnt ad my code at all. my wordpress site is https://www.tizlo.com/holdem, tizlo.com does already have adsense on it. Am i getting paid for theses ads, or are these ads from someone else, like the designer of the template?

    You are not getting paid ?? The theme designer added the adsense code with his ID to the theme.

    how do i change them to my ads?

    You would need to edit both sidebar template files in the theme.

    I edited the pub-id, but when the site was loaded shortly after that (1 or 2 minutes) they were all in french for some reason. Now they have gone back to the original ones (the ones that say xxxxgoogle(ads by google in a different language)).

    Is there something in this theme that is converting them back?
    Why would they have shown up in french?
