I am using the ShiftNav plugin for a custom menu (which seems to be working great) and would like to remove the small menu icon and header image from the mobile device view only. Would someone be so kind as to tell me which files I need to modify to remove these two items?

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

  • You are welcome,

It’s likely going to be the style.css file. And before you do that, it’s recommended first to implement a child theme https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Child_Themes … and then edit the child theme style.css not the parent’s.

In the absence of a child theme, another possibility is utilize a custom css plugin like jetpack.

Thanks again! I took your advice and created a child theme as per the tutorial. I had already started to make some css and template changes on my original theme files, so I set them back to original and used the new child_theme to enter all my edits. As far as the header image and the mobile menu that I wanted to get rid of; I found the easiest way was to just remove the whole #masthead which contained both elements. Appreciate the great advice! Have a nice day! ??
