[Theme: Twenty Fourteen] Menu items expand to the left

Since the menu items are on the right of the page, shouldn’t they expand to left instead of expanding farther to the right where they are displayed off screen? You get a scroll bar to scroll over but, once you move the mouse off of the menu items to scroll they un-expand. Quite frustrating as this leaves with un-usable expanding menu items.
