[Theme: Twenty Fourteen] remove blog roll

Hi everyone, I’m in need of some help.

I’m running my page on Twenty Fourteen and have the ‘Fourteen Extended’ plug-in installed, if that matters.

I’m using a featured slider for my page and want to basically remove the blog feed that appears below the slider, is that possible?

I’ve tried removing all posts that aren’t featured or setting the blog roll category to an category with no posts, but when I do that it will show “Nothing Found. It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching can help.” and a search box appears.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
