    Hello,

    In the new twenty twenty three theme, I can’t find how to remove the spaces at the top and bottom of the header, should I use a child theme to add CSS and where can I download an FSE child theme.

    Hi @baxter89!

    You can remove the margin on top of the header via Global Styles > Layout, as seen in the screenshot below:

    To remove the margin below the header, you will want to select the group where the site’s main content is, and remove the top margin, as seen in this other screenshot:

    Additionally, you can make the header full-width by removing the left and right margins and setting the group as full-width, as seen on the two screenshots below:

    Will those changes get overwritten with theme updates?

    Normally not, the updates have an impact on the modifications made in hard in the CSS file and Function.php, that’s why it installs a child theme when you want to modify these files.
    If you have any doubts, make a backup of the site.
