• I updated this theme today (I’m running a child theme) and when I did, it broke the site and brought up an error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in /home/designeffex/public_html/wp-content/themes/sento/admin/main-toolbox/thinkup-toolbox.php on line 19

    The site is https://designeffex.net

    Hello digitaleffex,

Sorry to hear you’re experiencing issues. It sounds like the theme didn’t fully update and the stylesheet is corrupt. Please can you download a fresh copy of Sento and install it. You’ll need to this via FTP as the error will not allow access to your admin area.

If you’re not comfortable doing this we’ll be happy to do this for you. In this case please reach out to us at https://www.thinkupthemes.com/contact and provide FTP login details to your site. Please do not send any login details over this public forum.

Alternatively you can reach out to your host who should be able to access your sites files and delete the theme allowing you to reinstall a fresh copy.

    Kind regards.

Thanks for the response. I downloaded and uploaded the theme via FTP, but the error still persists. I have a backup of the site with the old version of the theme that works, but do you anticipate a new version anytime soon that will resolve it? Thanks.

    Hello digitaleffex,

The issue is not one that can be replicated on our end, neither has it been reported by other users of any of our themes. It suggests there is something specific to your site causing this issue as opposed to the theme itself having an issue.

You can confirm that the theme works by heading over to the theme page and hitting the “preview” button:

    https://www.ads-software.com/themes/sento/

Please can you confirm, which version of WordPress are you using and which version of PHP?

Additionally, please ensure you’ve tested for plugin conflicts to rule this out as a potential issue.

    Kind regards.

I’m running the latest version of wordpress. Regarding PHP, when I visit PHPMyAdmin, I do see the following:

Your PHP MySQL library version 5.1.73 differs from your MySQL server version 5.5.54. This may cause unpredictable behavior.

    Is this the issue?

    Hello digitaleffex,

Certainly this sounds like an issue which you need to resolve. Whether this resolves the issue with the theme is not known. It’s impossible to tell without debugging.

Please speak to your host and have theme correct the PHP version difference issue. Once that’s resolved if you still continue to experience issues with Sento we’ll be happy to take a deeper look at your site to get this resolved.

    Kind regards.

Our server admin mentioned that this is normal and will update when cPanel makes their update. So it should have no bearing on this particular site. We’ve restored the site from a previous backup, but can you look further into it? Let me know what you’d need from my end. Thanks.

This same thing happened on another of our sites using Renden theme:

Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in /home/moltobene/public_html/wp-content/themes/renden/admin/main-toolbox/thinkup-toolbox.php on line 19

The site is https://moltobeneonline.com/ and we have to revert to an old version. This seems to be only happening with your themes.
