    Hello World.

I just tried to update the “News” theme to 2.0 and it did work…technically. However, I cannot access ANY of my site. The admin section, and everything on the front end displays the dreaded white screen of death. I know I still have the Twenty Eleven theme loaded, so could anyone tell me if there is a way to change the theme a different way? Via the URL or if I go into the server and delete the News theme.

Any help would be hugely appreciated!

    try:
    – switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    Thanks keesiemeijer

That’s essentially what I just did before I read your post. I deleted the broken theme so WP would just revert to another theme, which worked…sort of. There was an unexpected database issue (which might have caused the problem in the first place) but now all is right in the world again.

I’m glad you got it resolved.
