Theme upgrade from 2020 to 2024 crashes editing styles

    I have had 2020 running since 2020 and now want to use 2024. It seems to crash – meaning that I get a frozem progress bar on blank screen in a number of different circumstances. First I noticed was when doing a 2024 theme preview. Now it happens for example when trying to edit styles.

    Also ‘change templates’ does not work – check area seems funky but not greyed out – though does not change anything

    I wanted to change the blog listing to continuous posts rather than a text list – cannot change that either

    I tried disabling all the plugins but still not working.

    Appreciate any suggestions or strategy to fix this. Thanks

    I have left it semi non functional on 2024 in the event that inspecting this will reveal something

    I was talked into letting the iSP making a brand new install or WP – which incidentally ended up a many hours long disaster. So the above question is not worth bothering with – will start a new topic to try deal with new challenges
