  • Hey Chirstinechapa,

    If you use the two column layout it requires images of at-least 570px wide. But in general you should use larger images.

    Some things to note. Always use larger images. The theme resizes images based on where they are being used so you don’t need to size images.

    If you want to add more images to the slider you must “attach” them to your post by simply uploading the images while you are editing the post. You don’t have in insert them just upload them while editing the post.

    Thanks! One more question – do you know how to get the image to show up in the actual portfolio post?

    Right now there is just a blank white space where the image should be and I can’t figure out why.

    Thanks so much,
    Christine

    Are you using the latest update for the theme?

    The reason it’s not showing up is your image is small, but if you are using the latest update you can set how wide and high you want your image to show up. Since you image is 570px wide you would want to set the wide to 570. You can do that in the portfolio post options with the newest version of the theme.

    Let me know if that solves it.

    Hi Guys,

    I have the same problem, but with the image slider on portfolio page. My photos are big enough: 2560X1920 and 4000X3000 and they are still not showing up on the slider. Is it possible to use the slider on your free version?..

    https://www.counseling.ie/portfolio/beautiful-wax-candle/

    Yes same here. Slider still not showing with free version.

    FR08 can you post a link?

    MariaBure, from your link it looks like you don’t have the latest version of the theme installed. You need to update.

    BTW…

    I saw your pages ‘springing’ (because one page has a scrollbar the other has not)
    Solution: add this to your CSS (top):

    html {
    overflow-y: scroll;
    }

    Hello,

    I have the same problem than MariaBure and FR08.

    I can’t use the carousel of images for my projects in the Portfolio. In the edit menu Portfolio Item, when I click on the “Add Pictures” button, nothing happens.

    The theme is up to date and wordpress.

    Thanks

    Hey ASGraphism,
    The is an issue with the french translation. If you are working with a french launguage set up there is an issue with the add images button. You can download the latest version which has a fix here (its not yet on wordpress which is why you don’t see an update option):

    To Kadence Theme Author-

    Is the portfolio carousel included in the free version of Virtue? I want the 3-4 portfolio ‘doors’ leading to my projects, (books, poetry, and music)-coming off of my projects page…. Am I missing something? Do I have to create additional pages or menus before I can create the portfolio that leads to it?

    I don’t understand that, can you explain more or provide an example?

    If you want to build a portfolio page you can read here how to: https://localhost:8888/kadence_new/creating-a-portfolio-page-with-virtue/

    I apologize I wasn’t clear.

    On the first page of your them (home page), where you have your Featured Projects, I would like to do the same, to feature each of my projects behind each of the portfolios (total 3, like you have). Each of them open up to a new page?

    Also, the link you provided above does not open a page…

    I went through the steps for creating portfolio pages from your support page, but got lost in the steps. It may be that the steps were speaking to the Premium version.

    Sorry my link is a local.. by bad, but yes the tutorial on the site explains that you need to create a portfolio item. If you don’t see that option make sure you have the virtue toolkit plugin installed and activated.

    If you see the portfolio option in the admin, and you made portfolio items and gave each a featured image where are you getting stuck?

    Kadence Themes

    Hi there, I am trying to get a portfolio item to show on its page. but i get this error message:

    Sorry, but the page you were trying to view does not exist.
    It looks like this was the result of either:

    a mistyped address
    an out-of-date link

    Is there anyone who knows what i am doing wrong?

    Thanks very much.
