I bought and downloaded the Avada theme from themeforest.net into a zip file. The zip folder is 129mg in size on my PC.

I go to the run “Appearence” and “Install Themes” and run “upload”. I find the .zip file in my download directory on my PC and then run “install now”. It runs for 10 minutes and then gives a message screen of:

“Are you sure you want to do this?

    Please try again.

What is wrong with this thing? Please help me — thanks!

  • You’ll need to contact ThemeForest for help – we don’t support commercial themes here.

    Hi ddtaylor99,

For support with a ThemeForest theme, it’s always best to contact the actual author of that theme. ThemeForest support help with issues on the marketplace itself, but not individual themes.

You can contact the author from the contact form on the author’s ThemeForest profile page. In the case of the Avada theme, the author’s profile page is here: https://themeforest.net/user/ThemeFusion

    Good luck! ??

Make sure there is not a secondary zip file in the zipped folder you are trying to upload. Sometimes the actual theme file will be zipped within the main zipped folder.

Hey Japh – sorry I didn’t get the specific theme developer on this one — I do try to do that :).

    Hey ddtaylor99,

Web Era Productions makes a good point.

You need to upload the theme ZIP file itself. The ZIP file you uploaded is the entire package you get from ThemeForest which also contains any documentation, PSDs, etc. that the author included.

You can get more help with this particular problem in the Envato knowledgebase in this article: https://support.envato.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/269/0/my-wordpress-theme-isnt-working-what-should-i-do

@wpyogi: No problem, I know you usually do, and thanks for that, I really appreciate it! ??

    Hope that helps!

Problem resolved! I had to drill down into my downloaded zip folder and find the one that was called “avada.zip” That uploaded fine.

    thank you!
