• So, I was viewing my config and install php files, as a reference for a new theme I’ve been playing with. While doing this, I royally messed something up, and when I went to the admin screen, it was the WP install page. I couldn’t find a way around this, so I installed WP again, and my Theme settings are back to square one. All mods I’ve made to the Revolution theme, including posts, plugins etc. have been lost.

Have any of you experienced this? All of my Revolution data is still in my hosting database…can I somehow relink everything so WP pulls in my info? Or is the only way around this a database restore to before this problem happened?

    Any help would be great!

    Thanks,
    -A

  • I have the same problem! If i find out ill let you know.

    orbital2000,

When updating WordPress did you copy over the wp-content folder? Doing this would certainly erase all of your coding alterations. If something was messed up within the config file it would be best to download and replace this one file only.

I had to reinstall my theme and start from scratch. It was a problem with the theme I purchased and the way the files were organized (duplicate files and folders, etc.)
