I’m using the Coffee Cup theme on my blog. I would like to change the theme on my gallery—I currently use No Limits— to the Coffee Cup theme as well. I’ve loaded the files, etc. but when I activate the CC theme I get a white screen with text. So for kicks I tried also loaded the CC theme here and the same thing happened. Any ideas on where I might’ve gone wrong?

  • Where do you download the theme from? (link, please)
Does it happen to any other themes you downloaded?

First, try a fresh download of the theme and then upload that, just in case some files got corrupted along the way.

Doublecheck that the files got uploaded into the right directory and with the right directory structure. (If you unzip theme files, you end up with an extra directory layer and if you just upload the whole extracted folder your theme ends up messed up. i.e. The theme should be in:
    /gallery/wp-content/themes/coffeecup/
but it can end up in
    /gallery/wp-content/themes/coffeecup/coffeecup/
if you get in a hurry.

i downloaded the theme from here. I know it works because it is functioning on my main blog. When I saw that it wouldn’t work on the gallery I downloaded it again and uploaded the newest download.

this is how it looks in the directory:
    / public_html / picgallery / wp-content / themes / coffee cup /

the no limits theme works on the gallery and it looks exactly like above except nolimits instead off coffee cup. and as i’m typing this i just realized that maybe it is screwed up because i typed coffee cup not coffeecup?!

omg…it was that simple, just a question of a space between two words. all worked out now…thanks for helping me have that light bulb moment!
