Themes Not Loading Correctly

  • I’ve been having serious difficulties in getting my selected theme to load correctly. I started out using “Chiron,” which no longer appears to be supported, and on a regular basis the theme would not load. At some point it would load correctly, but then fail again.

    After considerable troubleshooting, and not finding any apparent conflict with plugins, I decided my Chiron theme was no longer compatible with current WordPress versions.

    I tested from several different computers (including my iPhone) and from several different flavors of browser. I’ve also determined that once I log into my admin area, my home page will load correctly.

    Earlier today I switched to “Twenty Twelve,” which I know has a lot of WordPress support. All was fine for a few hours, then just now discovered that the theme was once again not loading.

    By “not loading,” I mean that none of the theme layouts are displayed and instead all I get is the raw data. Widgets such as archives and Tag Clouds all work, just not displayed as per the theme. As best as I can tell, the actual theme files are not loading.

    I would appreciate any advice and assistance. If anyone visits my site and discovered it is working I’d appreciate knowing, along with time of visit.

  • Looks like is a issue with W3 Total Cache, i tried to include the css manually and the site looks good, try to disable the cache plugin.

    also, i saw that the chartset tag is being written after the css load, this can cause encoding issues

    I just disabled W3 Total Cache, will see what my site looks like tomorrow, if it is still working.

    the next step if you really want to enable cache is to contact your hosting provider and ask them which plugin they recommend.

    there are some cache plugins that has some issues on different hosting providers.
