This is too generic a question to answer definitively.

I try to only get plugins that have millions of users. Hopefully, those are better. I will try to get Automattic plugins if I can find them.

Both themes https://make.www.ads-software.com/themes/handbook/review/required/ and plugins https://developer.www.ads-software.com/plugins/wordpress-org/detailed-plugin-guidelines/ go through a manual review to ensure that they meet minimum guidelines before they are added to the directories here at www.ads-software.com.

Themes and plugins hosted elsewhere do not.

I don’t get them here. I download them from the admin control panel. I don’t know how to install them manually.

If you’re getting them from the Dashboard, you’re getting them from here. ??
