Themes are updating automatically. I don’t want the updates to happen automatically. How do I turn this off?

  • Hi @cvr2006

You can disable the auto-update in Theme details. In your dashboard (…/wp-admin), go to Appearance (in the left sidebar), click on Theme details over the thumbnail image of the active theme, and below the theme creator, you should see a disable auto-updates link.

Here is a screenshot of how it should look like

If you can not see the link, here are more details about auto-updates. Likely you will find a more specific solution for your problem.

    Hope that works
    Good luck

This is what I see. There is no “disable auto-updates” link.

    I see.

Here on CPOthemes I found a different solution. You can use a plugin (direct link there on the post) or adding a line of code into the wp-config.php file.

Let me know if that works

    Good luck

OK, I installed the Easy Updates Manager plugin, in hopes that my Theme won’t update automatically- it will only update when I tell it to. I think that’s all the progress we’re gonna make on this thread. Your input has been appreciated. Thanks.
