Themes with well structured menus

This isnt a feedback, but more a wish :). Im still absolutely convinced that it was a perfect idea to choose to make my website with WordPress, because of the endless options.

But I have to admit, I had some troubles finding a free starter theme that fits my needs. Visually, there are tons of themes I adore! But I had a hard time finding a theme with an oldfashioned vertical navigation, that I need, because I have several hundred pages and subpages that I need to sort. Horizontal menus simply dont work for someone who has as many sites. Some of the shop themes seemed to fit, but finally didnt work either.

So my wish: add some more themes with vertical navigation ??
I know a few archivists and collectors that would immediately start to use WordPress if there would be more such themes available.
