• Hi all

I’m struggling to get Publisher Center to recognise and populate our content as a Feed, as recommended by GN publisher. When set as ‘Website’ content appears front-end, but it is so slow to update, images are missing, the timelines are messed up. None of our content from the most recent 24 hours will appear on Google News.

When I follow the instructions to set sections as Feeds, I am told ‘There are no articles in this section’. When I try to refresh/reload, I am told ‘Your section will be refreshed offline’.

Please help me understand what to try next or what I’m doing wrong. Web stuff is not my forte.

    Thanks.

  • Hi Rachael,

First off, when you get the ‘will be refreshed offline’ message, wait about ten minutes and then refresh the page using your browser’s refresh button, just to make sure you can view any changes.

If you are still getting the ‘no articles’… there’s something going on with your feeds where there are being served as text/html pages… but it’s inconsistent. If you go to a feed using your browser, it should just be text, but if you refresh it every few minutes, you’ll see that it sometimes comes up parsed as html (with images and formatting rendered). I can’t imagine what might be causing that, and I’m not absolutely sure that’s what’s causing the ‘no articles’, but that would be a starting point since it’s an odd thing and affects all your feeds, not just the GN Publisher one.

Do you have any thoughts on why that might be happening?

    Chris
