I am getting the message below on the Basket page, on the Cart page, and after creating an account. I have had several people test it all with the same result. Google searches show many other people having had the same issue, but so far nothing I’ve done makes a difference including switching off plugins and theme.

I am using Local Pickup and Australia Post API. Both worked perfectly until a few days ago.

There are no shipping methods available. Please check your address or contact us if you need any help.

My theme developers say it is nothing to do with their theme. Their theme status with regard to Woocommerce shows all files are up to date.

Urgent help required! The website is live and the owner is losing sales.

    Hey @mintjelly,

Do your products all have weight and dimensions?

If so, are they within the size and weight guidelines specified here: https://auspost.com.au/parcels-mail/size-and-weight-guidelines.html

I did a quick test on a fresh install and received similar errors until I added a proper size and weight for the item I was “purchasing.” If you turn on debugging (which everyone will see), you will most likely see an error like this:

Product #0 is missing weight/dimensions. Aborting.

I’ve replied three times and they appear to keep disappearing.

    Hey @mintjelly,

I just did a quick test on a fresh install and I believe the issue may be that some of the products may not have proper weight and/or dimensions. I received similar errors until I added these to the items I was attempting to “purchase.”

If you turn debugging on in the Australia Post plugin, which everyone visiting the site can see, you may see an error like this:

Product #0 is missing weight/dimensions. Aborting.

If this is the case, then the products need proper dimensions and weights. If it’s not, then more information is needed like the origin postcode and perhaps example product dimensions and weights.

    Hi Jesse,

I’ve triple checked the weights and dimensions. Everything is correct. The debug tells me nothing.

I’ve added a shipping class for every product with no result.

I’ve removed the shipping class – (there wasn’t one originally), with no result.

    The message persists.

Can you give me the url to the site, and/or the dimensions and weights of two products and your originating post code for the shipping module?

Have you submitted a ticket to Woo support for this yet?

    Hi,

    The URL is https://www.kezrugs.com.au.

I have submitted a ticket to Woo support but have not had a response. I’m also communicating with the theme devs who have stopped responding because they seem to have no answer.

The Specials product has a weight of 2.75kg and dimensions of 60x40x11.
    Tail Bags have a weight of 0.15kg and dimensions of 10 x 10 x5.

Thank you for taking a look.

After viewing the site, it looks like you have it set to only show the shipping calculator on the checkout page, so I set my test site the same.

I added the dimensions and weights you gave to two of my products, and added them to the cart.
I added both Local Pickup and Australia Post as shipping methods.
For Australia Post, these are my settings:

    • Enable/Disable: checked
    • Method Title: Australia Post
    • Origin Postcode: 2600 (I just chose a random one)
    • Method Availability: Specific Countries
    • Specific Countries: Australia
    • Tax: unchecked
    • API Key: blank
    • Debug Mode: unchecked
    • Parcel Packing Method: Default
    • Satchel Rates: Enable Satchel Rates
    • Offer Rates: Offer custom all returned rates
    • Services: All are enabled (default)

With all of this set, I get no errors.

In my General and Shipping sections, I did set it to only sell and ship to Australia, as well.

Woo is pretty backed up right now, I had a UPS/USPS ticket in with them for about a week before I heard a response.

    Hi Jesse,

I set the shipping calculator for just the checkout page because it wasn’t working at all. Nothing was being calculated.

I’ll try what you’ve done and post here my results. Thanks for taking the time!

    Question,

Did you use the Australia Post Shipping Method plugin by Waseem Senjer ?

My settings appear to be different to what you have shown.

No, I am using the one from WooThemes ??

If you’re using one from somewhere else, you should contact them for support, Woo won’t be able to help you with a plugin that is not theirs.

It was working perfectly until a couple of days ago.

Looks like I might have to buy Woothemes australia post plugin.

For anyone’s benefit who is reading this, I spent hours troubleshooting the theme, wordpress, woocommerce and the shipping plugin.

I purchased mangohour’s table rate shipping plugin which I have used before, and problem solved. Phew!

Thanks so much Jesse for taking the time to assist. You are a prince among men!
