    Hi,

I have been trying for some time to figure out the reason for this error and it is not typing or copying error, the api key is correct. So what is causing this error? If the plugin works, it will help me a lot.

  • Hi, I am getting the same error message. (There is an error with your API key, it has been rejected by Google API Service. => Internal Server Error)

I created a new Google API project, made the YouTube Data API v3 available and set some domain names that are allowed with this key.

I am using the plugin version 1.9 and WordPress version 4.8.1.

For “Query type” “Search for keywords” I tried entering any keyword (e.g. “Mediathek Jugendarbeit”) with no success.
For “Query type” “Channel” I tried entering the channel id you provided earlier (UCOt1-IALzefRHgpll2q97ig) and for “Playlist id” I tried PLMC9KNkIncKtPzgY-5rmhvj7fax8fdxoj with no success.

    Could you please assist?

    Thanks so much
    Christina

Please know that entering the channel id you provided (UCOt1-IALzefRHgpll2q97ig) and “Playlist id” I PLMC9KNkIncKtPzgY-5rmhvj7fax8fdxoj works now. Not sure why.

However entering my Playlist ID (PLGLlf6ZF8jM8j-1cXn9Yz3bE5OWeuC8PS) does not return any results. Could this be as the videos I uploaded are set as ‘not listed’ in YouTube?

Can you please assist where I can find out my channel ID?

    Thanks
    Christina

Nevermind, I discovered where to find the channel ID. It does however not work. Can you think of why? (UCZorYPmz7zBCUHbn2QPfdDw)

    Cheers
    Christina

I chose playlist. I used the following playlist ID PLae7E_CHRX3GJVqet8b0mTdO8NpHg8inD

@amyboyack Right, I can reproduce the issue. I’ll fix it as soon as possible.

    Thanks for reporting!

    Thank you.

    Hi,
Just checking to see if you were able to come up with a solution, yet. My client is wondering.

With the Google API explorer – I was able to get the search working by using ‘snippet’ for the ‘part’ parameter. I think that may be where the issue is coming up.

    Hi @l3l2ad,

Thanks for pointing this up. What is the part param with the snippet value is supposed to fix?

Hi all, you can update to v2.0, it should be fixed now. Youtube API params slightly evolved, so I had to update the plugin.

    Best regards,

I’ve updated and I seem to still be having the issue. Looking forward to this one working like it used to.

It wouldn’t list without ‘snippet’ included and started listing when it was added. With things being changed, I’m not sure if that’s now required by Google.

    Hi @l3l2ad,

I’ve updated and I seem to still be having the issue.

As you still didn’t explain the issue you’re getting, I can’t help you.

I’m getting the same error as the original problem.

    Hi @l3l2ad,

Ok, while this is working with my API key, I’ll try to set up a fresh new key a reproduce the issue.

    Best regards,
    Enguerran
