You say there is no pro-version, it’s all free. But as soon as I activated plugin, it says many different ways, that in pro-version you can do this and that.

    Hi Mary,

    Please be reasonable….

Firstly, where does it say that there’s no pro version? If this is the case we can update this as only recently we have released a pro version.

Secondly, the free version is fully free, we don’t force anyone to get the pro version. The pro version was done a couple of months ago and it adds even more features to the extensive features already provided in the free version. I am a freelance developer, I spent months working on the free version without ANY pay for your enjoyment. I don’t think it’s fair to give me a 1 star review because you don’t appreciate that I spent several months working on the plugin and several years supporting people just like you for free. I don’t make money releasing plugins for free, I need to put food on the table just like everyone else.

Can I reach out to your good senses as a human being for you to realise that your 1 star review is extremely disrespectful and hurtful to me and completely unwarranted. If you need help with anything, just ask me….but please change your review…

Also please see the main plugin page: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-custom-admin-interface/ the main description and also int he FAQ it talks about the pro version. Many plugins have a pro version that way the developer can be compensated in some way for their time. And if you think we are trying to get rich…think again…this plugin for example…I would have made far more money working at McDonalds considering the amount of time I have spent on this. I do this because I love it, and having pro versions enables me to do what I love and get some form of compensation so I can continue to develop plugins.

    When description says:

….WP Custom Admin Interface provides a whole range of awesome admin features which other plugins will charge you for – this plugin is completely free, there’s no ‘pro’ version.

I really believed it was free. Why not be honest and say that there is both a free and a pro version.

I understand the basics of the pro version, of course, but I meant that the description here was misleading.

    Hi Mary,

I missed updating this text, this will be updated in the next version. I was honest, I mentioned just before all the places we say there’s a pro version. I am not trying to hide anything from you! Does this really warrant a 1 star review because I accidentally forgot to edit some text on the description, even though everything else is accurate, including stating several times there’s a pro version? Have you seen the free version? Have you seen how many things you can do with the free version! Please, have some sense. You basically walked into a 5 star restaurant free of charge had a great meal, and you give the restaurant a 1 star review because there was a typo on the menu…please be grateful for the things that you get for free especially when it cost me so much time.

Don’t worry about it, unreasonable 1 star reviews is how other people know that the plugin (and author) is legit! If it helps, I’ve left a review as well
