There was an error …….message

    Message: “There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.” appears when ‘Submit’ is pressed yet the message is delivered as expected.

    Flamingo shows:
    ” Spam
    * Not spam
    Submitted on: 6 March 2021 at 15:48
    Submission result: mail_failed”

    What can be the cause of this issue?

    I have a long list of plugins so I have tried the ‘Deactivate All’ and just activated:
    Contact Form 7
    Flamingo
    ReCaptcha v2 for Contact Form 7
    WP Mail logging

    My test message then resulted in ‘Successful’ green bordered message.
    I then activated ‘Elastic Email Subscribe Form’ which had to introduce some months ago to resolve another emailing problem. The result was that the error message appeared again but the message was delivered. Flamingo shows:
    o Spam
    * Not spam
    Submitted on: 7 March 2021 at 16:24
    Submission result: mail_failed

    I believe I need an SMTP email plugin but the problem is finding one that works with all plugins.
    I will go without Elastic for the time being until I see what else fails. Your ideas will be welcomed.
