I installed Postman SMTP Mailer and CF7 now works with WP 4.6. Quick and easy.

You could access the CR7 files, just go to plugins, CR7 and select edit (I think) but I don’t know what to do next to make the changes. Could someone provide me with the steps. Sorry, I am so new at this….

@eatherf2016, you need to edit mail.php file of CF7. You can edit this file by FTP or with plugins editor (Plugins page of your WP -> CF7 -> edit -> chose file in dropdown -> edit -> save).

I changed wp_mail() to mail() and removed $attachments as indicated. Now the form shows a success message as if the email has been sent but I still don’t get the email in my inbox.
